Fees

Fees are set from the first meeting (which is billed at a rate of €150 including VAT).

Understanding the lawyer’s remuneration

The client is informed about the details of the fees during the first consultation. The lawyer’s remuneration takes several factors into account: their reputation, their experience, the nature of the case, etc. Additionally, it should be noted that the lawyer’s fees are subject to a VAT rate of 21%.

Which fee agreement?

Hourly fees

Fees are calculated based on the number of hours spent by the lawyer on the case. These include, but are not limited to:

Review of the case documents and correspondence received

Legal analysis, including research, drafting or reviewing any documents (correspondence, written opinions, written consultations, procedural acts, agreements, memos, or notes) that need to be prepared for the case

Meetings and phone consultations with the client or third parties, including oral advice

Administrative tasks, pleadings, assistance at any hearing, meeting, or session, including preparation for these duties

Travel time and waiting time

Hourly rate

The hourly rate, excluding VAT, varies according to the lawyer handling your case, the urgency, the stakes, and the complexity of the case, ranging from €180 to €350 per hour excluding VAT.

Success fees

At the end of their mission, regardless of when they intervene, the lawyer takes into account, in addition to the above fees, a success fee in case of a win, even partial, of the dispute, or in case a negotiated agreement is reached, in whole or in part, for the client.

These fees are calculated based on the result of the liquidation of the matrimonial regime and/or inheritance, equivalent to 5% of the liquidation proceeds obtained in favor of the client.

When the stakes are not measurable or quantifiable, success fees are subject to a specific agreement either prior to any intervention or during the intervention, outlining an increase in the applicable hourly rates if one or more defined objectives are achieved.
